Now 54 years young, Les entered the construction industry as a trainee Q.S. at the tender age of 15 y.o. At 21 Les was given the opportunity to join a national Preservation Company as a surveyor, progressing in time through all levels of management to Director level, during which time Les became an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Building ( A.C.I.O.B), CSRT and obtained a diploma in marketing (M.C.I.M.)
Being made redundant in 1996, Les established his own preservation company in Scotland and has built it up to a turnover in excess of £5m with over 85 employees working from 8 locations throughout Scotland with 2 more planned as he endeavours to make Wise Property Care Scotland's leading Preservation Company.
Les is also a business mentor with Scottish Enterprise and also mentors secondary school pupils with "issues".
As a long term Scottish chairman of the BWPDA and recently Director of the PCA, Les firmly believes in contributing to his local community and trade association.
