For people involved in the surveying or remedial work of buildings, these three one-day training courses provide the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and resolve problems relating to dampness and/or timber infestation. Take the three days separately or run them together.

Damp (Day two)

  • Causes and effects of dampness in buildings
  • Diagnosis and methods of treatment of rising damp
  • Surveying procedures
  • Ancillary procedures

 

Legal and Health & Safety (Day three)

  • Basic Contract Law
  • Health & Safety legislation
  • COSHH
  • Risk Assessment
  • Product safety
  • Safe systems of work
  • Party Wall Act
  • Preparing a report
  • Assessment of ground conditions and structure
