Flood Expo 2015

14th & 15th October, ExCel, London

The Property Care Association (PCA) were on Stand F522.

Thank you to everyone who came along to meet members of the PCA team and find out more about our work and that of the PCA Flood Protection Group.

We were also proud to launch our new Code of Practice for the Flood Protection of Buildings at the show.

Mary Dhonau, Chair of the PCA Flood Protection Group, and Chief Executive of the “Know Your Flood Risk” campaign, presented on “Case Studies of Flood Resistance Working in Anger and Examples of Resilient Repair” as well as chairing the “Insurers’ Insight” panel debate on the first day of the exhibition.

Mary also delivered a presentation on the second day titled “PCA and Flood Protection Group – The Road to a Professionalised Industry”. This seminar provided an update on the work of the Property Care Association’s Flood Protection Group on the Personal Flood Protection (PFP) Industry over the last twelve months. It also covered news on the launch of the new associated PCA Code of Practice, as well as British Standard, DEFRA and BRE projects. Finally there was a look to the future of this sector, including new training developments designed to further drive standards in this sector.

The Flood Expo is the largest event of its kind in the world presenting solutions to widespread flooding problems from the world’s leading flood prevention companies, alongside an extensive seminar and workshop schedule highlighting new, cost-effective ways to prevent and manage floods.
