Staines Surveyor takes Top Honours

Neil Thompson PCA Awards

A surveying professional working for a Staines-based building preservation company has been honoured at a top industry event.

The work of Neil Thompson, who lives in Camberley, was recognised by the Property Care Association (PCA) at its annual conference, held at Wembley Stadium.

Neil Thompson, a senior surveyor working at ProTen Services, has recently been studying for professional examinations with the PCA, and secured the student of the year in the Association’s highly-specialised structural waterproofing surveyor’s awards.

He received his award at Wembley from the PCA - a trade body that represents the UK’s expert contractors, manufacturers and surveyors who specialise in damp-proofing, wood preservation, structural waterproofing and structural maintenance.

Yasmin Chopin, executive director of the PCA, which incorporates the British Wood Preserving and Damp Proofing Association, said: “This award reflects the high standards Neil brings, not only to his organisation, but the building preservation industry in general.”

ProTen Services has its headquarters in Bath and - as well as the office in Millmead, Staines - has other sites located across the country. The Company has proudly held the Royal Warrant since 1976.
As part of his work, Neil – who has 37 years’ experience in the sector - has been involved in projects at Windsor Castle, Hampton Court Palace and the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace.
