Phil will talk about how retrofit is changing buildings and the challenges internal, external and cavity wall insulation is throwing up for surveyors.
11.05   Nigel Donohue, CIGA
Nigel will give a warranty providers view on cavity wall insulation and look at the ways in which CIGA are working to improve outcomes for consumers.
11.25   Stephen Hodgson, PCA
Steve will be asking delegates to consider the challenges and opportunities that could soon influence the future of professional timber protection, damp diagnostics and its control.
11.40   Dr Jessica Lamond, Centre for Floods and Communities
Jessica will talk about flood resilience in buildings and the steps that should be taken to adopt and recognise effective measures and the importance of promoting and adopting best practice.

Session 2: Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality

In the face of legislative and media attention around perceived problems with indoor air quality, Clive will look at the facts behind the subject and how it relates to indoor air management and ventilation.
12.55   Ian Mawditt, Fourwalls 
Ian will look at how we might consider and evaluate existing ventilation provision and what may be required to help deal with the provision of improvement to ventilation in homes.
13.15   Fernando Sarce, KTP Associate
Fernando will deliver an insight into the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) that is now underway with PCA and UCL. He will explain its aims and planned outcomes and how the project (funded by PCA and Innovate UK) will deliver knowledge that will be of benefit to many.
