A champion of the industry, the PCA offers a wealth of benefits satisfying the needs of its members and works hard to support them in their businesses.  Here´s a guide to the benefits your PCA membership provides:-

A Respected Standard

PCA LogoThe PCA Logo
A ‘badge of excellence’ enabling consumers to recognise your professionalism and credibility. We fiercely protect the PCA identity and rigorous action is taken against anyone misusing or fraudulently using the logo. (Please note – those with provisional status are not entitled to use the logo, only those who are full members of the PCA are permitted to use the logo)

A Voice for the Industry
The PCA works tirelessly acting as an industry voice on behalf of its members, to forward their interests and raise awareness of their professionalism. Work includes responding to consultations, lobbying on key topics, working with government departments, participating in strategic working groups and contributing to the development of new and updates to existing industry standards. The PCA also demonstrates how its members are leading the way in raising standards across the industry through the development of Codes of Practice and other technical documents and best practice guidance.

The PCA is a member of this Government endorsed initiative, which gives consumers a route to find reliable and trustworthy tradespeople. All PCA contractor members are also listed on the TrustMark website.

Financial products

GPI v2Guarantee Protection Insurance
This FCA approved and regulated insurance policy offers peace of mind for clients. PCA members get a significant 30% discount and can also earn dividends through providing GPI cover.

Competitive insurance products
The PCA works closely with Kinnell Corporate Ltd – its insurance partners – to ensure bespoke insurance products are available for members at competitive prices.

Increased business

Business from Specifiers
Many specifiers, including mortgage lenders, local authorities and building societies, stipulate that a PCA member must be used when undertaking remedial works as they are deemed the most professional and credible.

Connect with Consumers
The PCA members database and associated search function on the PCA website connects consumers seeking reputable and technically proficient professionals to PCA members delivering services in their area.  Consumers also contact the PCA directly looking for professionals and they are helped to find their nearest PCA member.

Promotion of the PCA and its members is undertaken on a continual basis with extensive coverage being secured in both professional titles and regional and national press.

Free Health & Safety and Employment Law advice
PCA members gain access to basic Health, Safety and Employment Law advice through our partners Stallard Kane and can choose to ‘upgrade’ to more comprehensive levels of service if they wish.

Regular industry updates
Members directly receive regular updates on issues and news relevant to their industry to keep them up to date and informed. Communications include e-mails, newsletters, e-zines and social media updates. Through members only communications, members are often notified of relevant opportunities before they are published more widely.

Conferences and Events
PCA members get discounts on tickets to PCA bespoke industry conferences, which enables members to hear from and network with a variety of experts and leading industry figures, both from the UK and beyond. PCA members are also represented and promoted at industry specific events.

Training and certification
Members have access to industry specific training at a discounted rate. We also run a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) scheme enabling members to keep their skills and knowledge up to date.
