Final Week for Cohort 6 – We wish you luck!

Cohort 6 from our Preservation Apprenticeship completed their final week with the PCA last Friday. It has been an absolute pleasure working with this group, their enthusiasm, dedication and sheer determination to progress has been nothing short of inspiring. We wish them luck with the rest of their NVQ and future progression within the preservation industry.

Minutes from the RVG Meeting **MEMBERS ONLY**

Thank you to all who attended the recent Residential Ventilation Group meeting. It was highly engaging and productive, with lots of actions moving forward which is great. Your Association sees ventilation as an essential part of our industry and we value all feedback. If you wish to attend the next meeting please contact [email protected].

Deadline for Turnover Declaration Forms

The deadline date to return the annual Turnover Declaration Forms (issued to our Contractor and Manufacturer members) is Friday 18th October.

During November we will post out subscription invoices for 2020 and the information provided from your completed Turnover Declaration Forms, helps us determine subscription levels and aids us when setting the budgets for next year. if you have any problems, please contact [email protected].

CITB Review – Insulation & Building Treatments

CITB’s ongoing review of the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Industry Training Standards, will involve Insulation and Building Treatments. The changes to the National Occupational Standards will be cascaded into qualifications.

This will likely involve attending a few meetings to discuss, as representatives of the industry, the standards required in the area of Insulation and Building Treatments. The first meeting will be crucial in selecting a chairperson, determining how many meetings will be required and how much change is likely to be made to the current NOS. Register your interest and indicate your availability by 5pm today, 11th October 2019.
