At the PCA, we understand the importance of providing dedicated training to all within the sectors we serve. We also believe however, in growing talent and providing opportunities for individuals (at any age) to learn and develop within the sectors we serve and the wider construction industry.

It is for these reasons we have developed our Specialist Apprenticeship Programmes to ensure that those who want to pursue either a career within building preservation (damp & timber) or structural waterproofing, have a relevant specialist path to follow.

NVQ Diploma

For both of our Specialist Apprenticeship Programmes, once the learner has competed the training programme and assessment process, apprentices will be awarded a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 Diploma in either:

Insulation and Building Treatments (Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing)
Sub-Structure Work Occupations (Structural Waterproofing)

National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) or Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) are nationally renowned qualifications recognising the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace.
