Evaluating Ventilation in Existing Buildings
Issues caused by excessive atmospheric indoor moisture, such as mould growth and condensation have now become the most common form of dampness with buildings. It occurs when the indoor environment is unbalanced and ventilation plays a fundamental role ensuring the balance is kept. However, how do we resolve this and how do we bring balance back to the building?
To help improve knowledge and understanding, the PCA now provides a 1 day training course for the evaluation of ventilation in existing buildings. It aims to provide the right foundation and learning for anyone that inspects buildings to understand the significant role that ventilation plays in controlling damp and mould issues and how to identify defects in ventilation systems.
Open to both PCA members and non-members alike, you can click on the button below to register your interest for the course. Alternatively, to find out more, call 01480 400 000 or complete our online enquiry form and one of our training team members will get in touch.
Who will benefit from the evaluating ventilation in existing building training?
This training course is aimed at those already involved or who wish to become involved in the surveying of dampness related problems in residential buildings. Ideally delegates should have a building/trade background as well as some related skill, knowledge or experience.
The course provides delegates with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and understand ventilation systems 1—4 as defined in approved document F. The day will also cover PIV systems and probable defects that can occur within buildings.
How is this training course structured?
The one day course is delivered at the PCA head office and covers the following areas.
Please note that there are a limited number of places on each training course and places can only be reserved with full payment. Please check back here for additional dates as they are announced.
