About the presenter – Neil Salvidge

Having worked around the world for multiple contractors, Neil has been very active in the construction industry since the mid 80’s and is one of the principle trainers at the Property Care Association.

In 2000 when greater awareness of ground gas came about and the need for training was established alongside NVQ’s to help better promote best practice, Neil was one of the first to help develop training programmes for the ground gas sector. This soon evolved into a more focused role, with Neil gaining his Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) and CITB NSAC (Construction Industry Training Board, National Specialist Accreditation Centre) Assessors qualification to become the initial assessor for the NVQ.

Neil continues developing training programmes and is actively working with ground gas (geomembrane) technicians in gaining their NVQ qualifications. Having gained both Assessor and Internal Quality Assurance qualifications, Neil is active in the development of industry standards and has supported the development of the NVQ Level 4 Verification of Ground Gas Protection Measures.
