Calling all CSJK surveyors…

Commons Select Committee – Final piece of the jigsaw

We can share with our invasive weed group members that The Commons Select Committee (Science & Technology) has now received the final response to its 2019 report on ‘Japanese Knotweed and the Built Environment’.

Following our workshop discussions with Mark Diamond of the Environment Agency (EA), our views are broadly reflected in his report. The EA do not put forward any firm views regarding the need for further research, but one of the next steps is for “Defra to consider how the research should be initiated in partnership with the sector”.

We will keep PCA members (and the many others reading this) updated on whether Defra will support any of these projects, but for now, you can click on the button below.
