Letter to Trustmark Ref PAS 2035

In response to the publication of PAS 2035 at the end of summer, the PCA has written to TrustMark to express its concerns on the limitations of the document and how we believe PCA members have the right skillset to provide support for the retrofit industry to avoid problems of dampness and mould.

Trustmark has acknowledged the letter, advising they have read with positive interest and wish to meet to discuss challenges and opportunities.

Training – Get Ready for Autumn

Retrofit Insulation Masterclass

This one day masterclass is a must for surveyors and building professionals, landlords, property managers and contractors, as they will increasingly come across buildings with retrofit insulation. Delegates learn the retrofit process so they can identify what work retrofitters have undertaken, the potential resulting unintended consequences and how they should be remedied.

Contracting and Client Relationship Workshop

Understand the contractual aspects of supervising or managing works on site, to avoid potential pitfalls and penalties by ensuring your company meets its obligations. A one-day workshop comprising classroom-based learning, providing an opportunity for delegates to offer their ideas and share their experiences.

Technicians: Structural Waterproofing

This will be of benefit for those who have started working in the structural waterproofing industry. Ideally delegates will have received basic training from their employer and have already gained some technical or practical experience in a related environment. Candidates who successfully pass the assessment will be entitled to refer to themselves as ‘PCA Qualified Technicians (PCAQTSW)’.

Contact the training team today on 01480 400000 or email [email protected].

Basements for Housing Webinar

This webinar may be of interest to some of our members’ clients, particularly architects, providing an insight into the design and construction of basements, sharing lessons learnt and key guidance for those embarking on the development of a new home.
