Timber treatment and Woodworm - help and information

Welcome to The Property Care Association » Timber Treatment

Skill: Timber Treatment

Timber Treatment

Timber decay and woodworm can affect buildings of all ages. If you find that timbers in your property have come under attack from fungal decay or woodworm, then it may be the case that some form of timber treatment is required to ensure the life expectancy of the timber

As the trade body for the industry, the Property Care Association (PCA) has members that are qualified and regularly vetted to certify that they possess extensive experience in timber treatment for both structural and decorative timber.

Do I really need to consider timber treatment?

Due to the potential spread and destructive impact dry rot, wet rot and, if extensive enough, woodworm can have on a property it is recommended that if you suspect you have discovered either form of rot or woodworm in your home, then a qualified timber preservation professional should be approached to conduct a property survey to determine if a remedial action is required.

PCA members have the necessary skills to identify the rot and its causes alongside any other potentially damaging wood infestations such as woodworm, and rectify problems effectively and efficiently.
