Why the need for the structural waterproofing update?
The revision of BS8102 Waterproofing Regulations recognised the need for a Waterproofing Specialist within a Design Team and also emphasised the need to understand site evaluation and the suitability, performance and benefits of the Type A, B & C waterproofing systems.
Off the back of these revisions, this training course has been developed for those who have already attended the PCA Structural Waterproofing Course and subsequently sat the CSSW examination prior to the changes and revisions that were successfully introduced in 2015. This training will help them to continue to update their knowledge.
How is the waterproofing update training structured?
The course is an intensive one day interactive workshop and provides updates on new technologies and innovations as well as an update on what is considered good general practice. Questions and discussion of changes to BS8102 Waterproofing Regulations, current knowledge and improved practices are actively encouraged and also includes:
- Specialist tutors who will look at matters relating to Type A & B waterproofing. They will also provide updates on matters relating to Type C systems and general developments made in the sector.
- 6 hours of credits for those participating in PCA and other CPD schemes.
