Who is the use of biocides training for?
This course is designed for technicians, trademen or anyone that works with and uses biocides on a regular basis.
Being able to prove your credentials in the safe use of biocides enables you to put the public’s mind at ease and will provide you with the skills and confidence to carry out timber treatments to the highest industry standard.
Structure of the safe use of biocides course
This one-day course will look at a selection of elements and will involve a short exam at the end of the day. Candidates who pass will receive a ‘Professional Biocide User’ identification card and be added to the Professional Users of Biocides Register.
After the successful completion of the course and exam, all candidates that pass will be added to the Professional Users of Biocides Register for the Protection of Timber in Buildings. This register will provide a reference point for both suppliers and consumers who want to verify the professionalism of applicators, while also acting as a means by which professional users can differentiate themselves from companies that have committed to the letter of the product approval requirements.
