#IPCC23 Speaker programme launched!

Many of our members will be in agreement that since the last property care conference, the media scrutiny on dampness has been unprecedented. This year's conference programme will offer plenty of discussion and debate and as your new Deputy CEO James Berry points out, "an abundance of forward thinking that looks set to change our industry". Speculative journalism drives mould into the news again

Members may have seen that the inquest into the death of 27 year old Luke Brooks opened in Oldham this week, resulting in the media winding itself up into a frenzy once more.

The coroner delivered her findings yesterday, confirming that "Damp and disrepairs...did NOT cause or contribute to his death from mould-related pneumonia." It won't be the last time that press hysteria fuels journalists as CEO Steve Hodgson discusses in his latest blog...

Who is checking council policy? 

Some of our invasive weed members may be aware that a number of councils appear to be stepping back from using some herbicides in amenity spaces.

PCA's Steve Hodgson has noticed this in the Cambridgeshire village where he lives and asks, who is checking the real impact of council policy and the unintended consequences of these decisions?
