Spring has sprung, but dampness remains headline news

It certainly feels as though Spring has sprung, and yet not a week goes by without damp, condensation and mould still making headlines. The spotlight on dampness and the impact this is having on people and their homes continues as we outline in this latest blog.

Why ventilation matters

When it comes to dampness, it is clear that the expectation on what is acceptable is changing. The dependency on good ventilation looks set to increase, but the reality is ventilation is too often done badly. There seems to be some reluctance to embrace ventilation as a mainstream part of the preservation industry.

PCA's Head of Technical James Berry will discuss this in more detail at next week's Residential Ventilation Group meeting, but for now, you can read James' short blog via the button below.

Less than 40 tickets left!

Tickets are selling incredibly well for the 2023 International Structural Waterproofing Conference, which takes place on 20th July.

There's less than 40 places remaining, so if you are yet to book, you might want to secure your place sooner rather than later!

For more information on the programme or to book your place, simply click on the button below. Alternatively, you can contact Sue Uttridge on [email protected] / 01480 400001.

Invasive Species Week 2023

Invasive Species Week takes place in just over a week's time and once again, PCA will be supporting this annual campaign. We will be sharing knowledge, advice, guidance and tips for homeowners and professionals in the sector, through webinars, blogs and videos.

If you have anything planned, please let us know or tag us into your social posts so that we can support you and your events too! What's more, our dedicated webpage houses all of this information and more, which you can access via the button below.

Webinar: The invasive invasion - Are our homes being taken over?

**2 WEEKS TO GO** until our next live webinar, which is slightly earlier than our usual end of the month date, to coincide with Invasive Species Week!

This time around, PCA's Technical Manager Daniel Docking discusses recent statistics showing that 50% of plants in Britain are now non-native! But how have these invasive plants changed the face of Britain’s native flora? Join us on Thursday 18th May 2023 from 9-10am to find out more...

Join us in welcoming Emily to the PCA team!
