Apologies for the technical issues during the Live Stream, this was unforeseen and extremely unfortunate however, we will be sharing pictures and videos from the day in due course. If you have any questions, which you were unable to post, please contact us via the button below.

RICS Information Paper 27/2012 Review

We have reported over the last few weeks on the recommendations emerging from the Commons Select Science & Technology Committee relating to Japanese knotweed and the built environment. For those that have the time (and patience!), the whole report is worth reading – all 40+pages of it – plus of course all the evidence submitted prior to the hearing and the full record of the oral sessions!

The PCA will prepare some summary guidance in due course, but for now, please be assured that we are working closely with RICS regarding the review of IP27/2012. Two stakeholder (Leaders Forum) meetings have already taken place and a working group will be convened in the next few weeks to prepare recommendations.

Always nice to receive great feedback!

It goes without saying that our members’ feedback matters and thanks to PCA member Renlon, for sharing the following with us, further to attending the PCA Qualified Technician (PCAQT) – Damp & Timber:

“The training courses that we have committed to with the PCA and the long term apprenticeship schemes are proving to be an asset to our business; as our technicians are now much more aware of the legislation and safety surrounding the use of the materials they are using on a daily basis, and they are also now more confident and knowledgeable when questioned by contractors and clients on site. And it goes without saying that the high standards we had already set for our business has been enhanced with the excellent training you provide. Keep up the good work and thank you.”
