Hodgson View – Our AGM & Open Day in 3 mins!

For the first time in many years we decided to hold your Annual General Meeting (AGM) away from a conference. This, we realised, came with both risks and benefits that may not have been obvious to members however, we all thought it was worth exploring. Turns out it was a ‘marvellous’ day!

If you want the short overview, then check out our 3-minute video below. However, don’t forget to check out the ‘Hodgson view’ below it too. Enjoy folks!

Good Weed – Bad Weed?

Well it is certainly powerful stuff… and if we describe something as ‘weedy’ it is usually a negative term, but nothing could be further from the truth as far as actual weeds are concerned!

Our very own Dr Peter Fitzsimons discusses all things invasive weeds – click on the button below to read the review in full.

Invasive Weed Control Group Meeting

As all those involved with Japanese Knotweed will be aware, there are significant actions arising from the Commons Select Committee Report and the PCA is at the centre of the debate.

Discussions are already well advanced with RICS who will be convening a working group to discuss possible revisions to IP27/2012. The PCA has also been in contact with the Environment Agency who have asked to attend our next Open Meeting, with a view to starting a dialogue regarding JKW research and monitoring. We hope to confirm a date for this meeting very soon.
