New Guidance on Japanese knotweed published!

As reported last week, we were delighted to see the launch of new Guidance from RICS on the assessment of Japanese knotweed impacts on residential property earlier this week. This is a landmark change and will impact PCA members, estate agents/vendors and surveyors/lenders on the new risk categories. We have eight weeks to get used to the new scheme before it is implemented (March 23rd), so now is the time to discuss how it works, especially by comparison with the one it is replacing. CITBS's Funding for Travel & Accommodation

We can share with our members and all construction professionals that CITB has launched their ‘Travel to Train’ initiative, which provides additional funding support for all travel and accommodation costs associated with our Specialist Apprenticeship Programmes. Accommodation: Employers can receive 80% of the hotel cost per apprentice, upon completion of the online Grant Application Form Travel: CITB will reimburse up to £100 per apprentice/per week for travel costs to a PCA training facility. (Employers pay the first £30 per candidate). For more information, including what forms to complete and who to return them to, members can click on the button below.
