The long-awaited report from CITB, or is it?

Following on from the Hodgson post above, we are finally pleased to say the long-awaited report that assess the impact of the CITB policy changes on PCA members is finally out!

The report has taken some time to produce and we are pleased that it now accurately reflects the impact of CITB’s decisions and policy. However, it does bring into light as to whether CITB represents ‘value for money’ and even brings about the question…is it time CITB was disbanded?!?

Having already written short articles on both Type A and B waterproofing systems, PCA’s James Berry’s latest article focusses on Type C Waterproofing. Environmental Committee reviews Invasive Species

The House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee started an Invasive Species enquiry in April and the written and oral evidence is now available for viewing (via the button below). Whilst this enquiry is focussed on the global-scale threats of invasive species, it makes fascinating reading for anyone with an interest in Government policy surrounding the prevention and control of invasives and the possible impacts of Brexit and climate change.

The next phase is to hold a further hearing in Cambridge (11th June) which is open to anyone who wishes to attend (book here), with the final report expected in July. PCA’s Steve Hodgson and Peter Fitzsimons are attending the event in Cambridge and will keep you all posted on developments.
